One of the finest exponents of seventeenth and eighteenth-century plucked instruments, Josep M. Martí Duran is one of the world's finest lute players. This concert features solo and chamber music on baroque guitar, lute, and theorbo. He works regularly as a continuo player with Les Sacqueboutiers de Toulouse (Jean-Pierre Canihac), Café Zimmermann (Pablo Valetti), Le Concert des Nations (Jordi Savall), Academia Montis Regalis (Alessandro di Marchi), La Terza Prattica (Massimiliano Toni), Los Ministriles de Marsias, Orquestra Barroca Catalana, Academia 1750, Vespres d'Arnadí (Daniel Espasa), or Los Mvsicos de Sv Alteza (Luis Antonio González) and the Orchestra of the Antipodes (Erin Helyard). He has performed in Catalunya, Spain and Europe in numerous festivals like Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Festival D'aix-en-Provence, Tage Alter Musik de Herne or Festival D'Ambronay, among others. He has recorded in different occasions for France Music, Radio France, RNE, Catalunya Radio, SONY International and Alpha.
