Lunch Hour Concert: William Lawes Consort Music

08 May 2017, 1:10pm - 2:10pm

The Royall Consort Setts of William Lawes were composed in 1630. Ground-breaking in their day, they mark the beginnings of the instrumental suite form in renaissance England. Little performed in Australia, this is a welcome opportunity to hear a selection of these sprightly aires and dances and inventive fantasies.
