The Lin Onus Conversations - Cultural Missions
16 October 2012

Are we being herded on to cultural missions in the 21st century?
Are the boundaries set in concrete? Are there any? Do we imagine them? What of cultural self-determination?
The Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development makes its contribution to the national debate on Indigenous cultural practice by bringing leaders from across society together to benchmark current thinking and future directions. The Lin Onus Conversations are designed to foster collaboration and creative engagement between Indigenous and migrant peoples.
Join the conversation with esteemed guests Dr Anita Heiss, Adjunct Professor, Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning, UTS; Lois Peeler, Executive Director, Worawa Aboriginal College; Deborah Cheetham, Artistic Director, Short Black Opera, and Head, the Wilin Centre, VCA & MCM; with moderator Daniel Browning, Presenter - Producer, Awaye!, ABC Radio National.
Venue: Federation Hall, Grant St, Southbank
Free admission, bookings required: Cultural Missions Enquiries: wilin-centre@unimelb.edu.au
