The Alexander Technique and the Performing Arts Conference (ATPA) is recommended to any one who is committed to the advancement of performing arts training and practice.

The ATPA Conference is designed to advance the knowledge, methodology and innovation in the teaching and practice of the Alexander Technique. Its specific aim is to integrate the technique into ongoing training curricula and to support emerging as well as established performers. The conference is open to all members of the Alexander Technique community. It is also open to all Performing Arts teachers and practitioners who have an interest in the Alexander Technique, its possibility, and its integration into performing arts training and artistic practice.  

Master teachers and researchers of the Alexander Technique in the performing arts context who will present at this conference are from NZ, UK, USA and AUS.

Presentations and workshops include:

    ·         Image Rehabilitation for the Electronically Raised Performer
    ·         Chekhov Scene Study
    ·         Dynamic Tools for Audition Techniques
    ·         Collaborative Teaching in the Dance Studio
    ·         The Orchestral Performer
    ·         Challenging Traditional Singing Methods
    ·         Moving Into Imagination
