Twilight Concert Series: Inspiring Performance

Featuring students from the 2012 Bachelor of Music Performance (Honours) cohort. Curated by Nat Bartsch, winner of the 2010 Melbourne Prize for Music, Development Award.

Wednesday 3 October
“Musique sans frontieres”

Music without borders showcasing musicians from all corners of the Faculty. Includes experimental electronics, new music, improvisation and works by Albeniz and Britten.

Thursday 4 October
“Poetry can communicate before it is understood”
(T.S. Eliot)

Faculty singers and instrumentalists who have been influenced by the written word. Includes new music, free improvisations, classical lieder and jazz standards.

Friday 5 October
“Art is the most intense form of individualism the world has known”
(Oscar Wilde)

Written and improvised music filled with personality, from the past and present. Includes works by Xenakis, Schumann, Fukushi and Feldmann.

Where: Federation Hall, Grant Street, Southbank
