Professional Partnerships
The Victorian College of the Arts and the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music have initiated a range of partnerships and engagement activities with major arts companies in Melbourne's arts and university precincts together with a host of smaller companies locally and nationally, and sister institutions around the world. Partnerships and engagement activities are at the heart of our vision to be a leading arts training and education institution, and cement our place as one of Victoria’s most valued and innovative public institutions.
These partnerships help our emerging artists bridge the gap between the academy and the world of the professional artist by providing a guided induction to professional practice. They also allow our partners to develop innovative programs. Our partnerships also advance the creative ambitions of the Faculty and partner organizations so that together we are able to engage the community with creations and performances involving tomorrow’s artists.
The Faculty's Professional Partnerships Office was established in Spring 2011 as part of the funding initiatives developed with the Victorian State Government and Arts Victoria to expand and further enhance the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music’s commitment to playing an integrated role in Victoria's artistic, cultural and community life.
