PhD – Visual Art
Art as a Tool for Environmental Regeneration
The project is to create a forest garden in Melbourne, which will address ways in which art can comfront, debate and communicate urgent issues about nature, the environment, climate change and ecology. The physical environment of the Forest Garden, the people using it and the relation between the forest garden and its users will be the raw materials for this research art project.
Principles from perma-culture will be applied, which is to understand the relationships between plants, animals, insects and the microorganisms to create a sustainable, self-sufficient and productive garden in the city.
